Admission questions to Oxford, Cambridge called 'out there' (#7)

Recently on CNN.com i read an article called Admission questions to Oxford, Cambridge called 'out there' by Atika Shubert. It talks about the questions asked in admissions interviews. You would expect they would ask complicated insightful questions but they are switching it up. Instead they ask surprising questions like "Would you rather be a novel or a poem?" or "How would you poison someone without the police finding out?" or "Instead of politicians, why don't we let the managers of Ikea run the country?". Mike Nicholson, Oxford University admissions director explained the reason for these odd questions "What we want to do is take them beyond that point and get them to start thinking for themselves." I think this is a great idea, i fully agree with Nicholson anyone can learn things but its much harder to think for yourself and not take information out of books to respond to interview questions. Although the questions are weired i think you would get to know someone quickly after hearing their responses to those questions.
